The Atrium by Ligon Flynn Wedding

We lucked out last month for Kristin and Jon’s big day and didn’t have a single raindrop, which seems to be the norm these days! Their Atrium by Ligon Flynn wedding day was a beautiful celebration with their family and friends, with a long list of fabulous vendors to help celebrate the day. Their wedding was a little extra special for us, as they were our Beautiful Together auction winners back in July, if you can remember. Beautiful Together is a non-profit organization in support of children waiting for their families, started by our friend and amazing photographer, Tamara Lackey. As winners of the auction they also received a package that included donated services by Fundy, Nations Photo Lab, Animoto, and Elizabeth Ann Inspired. A huge thanks to everyone involved in this great cause!

These two were so fun to photograph as their smiles and laughter were evident all day long. (And by fun, we mean it was hard to capture a serious look from either of them, other than Blue Steel of course.) 😉 After a beautiful ceremony at The Atrium, we hopped in their carriage that Kristin had surprised Jon with (because what newlyweds don’t want to share this romantic moment with their photographers?!) and rode around downtown Wilmington finding fun spots to photograph at. We finally convinced them that we didn’t mind walking back and headed to the gorgeous Bakery 105 for their reception so they could enjoy a few moments to themselves. We knew that they had taken swing dance lessons for their first dance, but we didn’t know just how amazing they would be. WOW. Just take a look at some of the snaps we caught of their epic number.
